The names are grouped by order of the historical period in which they were writing, which is not necessarily the same as the period in which they specialized. Chroniclers and annalists, though they are not historians in the true sense, are also listed here for convenience. Q. and what's the percentage of historians and scholars that support the Jesus Myth Hypothesis? Asked by Dr.Manhattan - Tue Apr 7 04:08:38 2009 - - 6 Answers - 1 Comments A. About 98-99% of scholars and historians believe Jesus existed, but only about half of those believe Jesus was divine in any way. Most of the people who believe in the Jesus myth hypothesis aren't even real scholars. The only one I know of who believes in it that actually is a scholar is Earl Doherty. Most of the ideas for the Jesus myth hypothesis come from people who have been dead for more than half a century. Most of them never went to college, or if they did, it wasn't for anything related to history. Q. I heard a song with this lyric: "I'm black as the ancient Egyptians, Before European historians went and changed the description" Did they really do that? I mean i've seen Ancient Egyptian paintings and the people appear quite light skinned in them. I don't mean light skinned as in white, i know they're African. The song is "Lick Shots" by Immortal Technique feat. Crooked I and Chino XL. That part is Crooked I. Asked by Soup - Fri Aug 8 13:23:45 2008 - - 13 Answers - 0 Comments A. Egypt was located right in between the Nubian, Babylonian, and later, Persian, Greek and Roman civilizations, so the background of the people there would have become very mixed over their 5000 year history. However, the early dynasties like Imhotep (who built the great pyramids) would have looked much more like the Nubians, or what we typically would consider African. Some European historians of the past tried to discredit the fact that they discovered and contributed much of the science and knowledge that was later adopted by Western civilizations. Which included differentiating Egyptians from other Africans, and trying to classify them as dark skinned Caucasians. btw, what song is that from?
